why?

so our trip to ND was good. it is always nice to spend time with family. i will have to admit that i was a little nervous about the drive. 12 hours in a car with a 10 month old and a 2 year old is not my idea of a good time. but i do have to thank my lucky stars because they did awesome. i do have to credit most of it to the fact that maggie could watch movies on the laptop. whoever invented the portable dvd player must have been a parent. a parent who takes roadtrips. on our way home we had been in the car for 7+ hours. needless to say we were all done. we needed to stretch our legs and run around a bit.
seconds after we walked into the hotel room the kids became crazy maniacs. not that i blame them, i was feeling a little loopy myself. well 2 1/2 hours later jack was asleep and maggie was in one of her moods. i was doing homework and talked her into getting into bed with her daddy and jack. that was the first mistake. this is how our converstation went for the next 15 minutes...
maggie please dont touch jack. why? because he is sleeping? why? because it is night-night time. why? because it is dark outside. why? because that is gods way of telling everyone to go to sleep. why? because two year olds are not meant to be nocturnal creatures....why?
