doesn't want to grow up

Don't you dare tell her she is a "big kid". She wants nothing to do with that growing up stuff. For the last couple of weeks she has been telling everyone, and I mean everyone, that it is her birthday time. People must have been commenting that she is getting "big" because the other night while doing our before bed-time routine she looks at me with this serious face and tells me "mommy I not getting big, I just a little kid". Right then and there my heart melted into a big puddle on the bathroom floor. Her little blue eyes looked so sad. Don't get me wrong, she is excited about the birthday thing, but wants no part of the growing up part. And you know what? I wouldn't either... growing up is way over rated.

Our classic "day before" picture on the slide. And one of her with her puppy on our morning walk to the farmers market.

Maggie Facts:
Favorite color: BLUE. Dark blue to be exact.
Favorite thing to do: torment her brother.
Animals: Loves them all but thinks lady-bugs and wormies are especially cute.
Best buddies: Ian, Sara and her new puppy.
Favorite toy: Her tricycle. She like to run over her brother.
Favorite activities: pretty much anything outside (sandbox, swing, trik, playhouse, and tea parties) AND is really starting to like her movies way too much ;(
Favorite food: Yogurt, peas and tomatoes (the ones out of her daddy's garden)
Favorite clothes: PJ's. She will wear them all day if I let her. She insists on putting them back on for a nap and will beg to wear them out in public.
Blankets: She has to have tons of them on her bed to go to sleep. She still has her two favorite blankets (babines) her purple one from Nolan is still a favorite. I have to sneak them away for a washing.
Songs: Loves to sing in the car, we never listen to the radio, but her favorite is twinkle twinkle little star.
Maggie can be extremely shy around new kids but will run like a crazy banshee when she is having fun. She has the best little laugh in the world, and a mean streak that is always hiding behind that beautiful smile of hers.
